Hi Everyone

I have been researching my family tree for a number of years and am now at the "wherever am I going to be able to verify that" stage. I am very willing (if I can) to help any one with their research and I'm sure that others will be happy to assist me. My principal interests are Carter's from Hampshire, Broadley's from Derbyshire, Towse's from Yorkshire and not forgetting my husband's family the Wallace's from Scotland & Ireland; the Smiths from Scotland - that's really hard considering the number of John Smiths I've come across who have nothing to do with our family!!! as you can imagine

Welcome C|:-) Sylvia,

we are all happy to assist (if we can)! why don't you ask and see what we turn up! but settle in and have some tea and biscuits first

Hi Sylvia,

Welcome - Smiths?? Almost as bad as Johnson/Johnstone(e). :)

Can you add a rough location to your profile please. Just so we don't suggest you visit an archive in another country. :)

Welcome to Top Dog Sylvia. C|:-)
Smith is also one of my areas of interest though mine are in the London area.

Have a good look around, post your questions and most of all enjoy yourself.

Hi Sylvia,
I also have Towse's from Yorkshire. My Towse research goes back to Christopher-b-c1644 then his son, Daniel-b-1674 who married Ruth Etherington in 1693 at Garton on the Wolds, YKS, ENG.
