Hi everybody. greetings from south west Ireland where it's a beautiful autumn day after the recent storms.
I've been researching my family who lived mainly in the south east of England and around London although some came from as far north as Leicestershire. We also have a branch (Barritts) who came from Cornwall and Jamaica on route to London.
This hobby started after my father died, trying to find who his father was who died in WW1, and rapidly became an addiction. I come to London frequently as I have two children living there so sources in south east would be useful.

Hi Kathleen and welcome. I was born and raised in Leicestershire and although that probably doesn't mean that I know any more than you can find elsewhere if you feel that local knowledge might assist do let me know. I hasten to add that I have not lived there for over 47 years!
