Can't find the deaths of the above
The family were born in Cornwall.Martha in St. Ives. Her parents William Banfield and
Elizabeth Williams
John's information is
WW1 Draft Registration Card age 43, b. June 9, 1873, naturalized citizen Janitor, Osceola School wife, Martha Ivey,
Martha and her daughter Lilian arrived 28th May 1910 .
12 Sep 1916 they are living at 219 Seneca, Laurium, Houghton County MI.
I have all the information about Lilian and her husband and her Thomas Sincock.

Would you verify John's surname? The thread title says John and Martha Banfield, then you say her parents were also Banfield. Is that correct?

So many John Banfields, none seem to have been born in 1873 from Cornwall . None with a wife Martha at death so far.

1910 Census Osceola, Houghton Co, Michigan
John Ivy, head, 37, marriage 1, 4 years, born New Jersey, parents b. England,
Mabel W, wife, 29, marriage 1, 4 yrs, b. Michigan, parents b. England
Helen L, daughter, 2, b. Michigan
This John is a mason in a copper stamp mill.

In 1920, this John Ivey and wife Mabel are in Alameda, California with
Lucille H, daughter 12, b. Michigan
John C, son, 9, b. Michigan
Clayton R, son, 7, b. Michigan.
This time he's a brick layer in building construction. All other info the same.

I know this isn't the John and Martha you were seeking, but I saw that Osceola location, so decided to follow them. Will try to get back on track now.

Okay, here they are in 1930, in Highland Park, Wayne County, Michigan:
John Ivey, Head, 56, age at marriage is 24, immigrated in 1905, he's a mechanic in an auto factory.
Martha, wife, 57, age at marriage is 25, immigrated in 1910
Thomas and Lillie Sincock are in the same household. All parties b. Cornwall, and all parents b. Cornwall.

Wayne County Death Records via SearchQuarry has a John Ivey age 72 (no date unless I buy the cert) Westland MI, Highland Park MI, relatives listed are * Day 41, * Ivey 39, * Kirk 62, * Morris 34, * Morris 34, * Pierce 62. With a birth date of around 1874 this would make the death year 1945 give or take. If that's him that is. Asterisks just in case death date is much later.

No joy at Genweb, MI state archives, free newpaper sites. Going to sleep on this one, thinking of other places to look.

I'm wondering if the might have moved from Michigan, perhaps during the war. Genie, where are the Sincock's in later records? Any chance they popped up to Canada? Clutching at straws.
