John Bebbington and Harriet- probably NOT married...

There is a John Bebbington from Cheshire, England who first married a Sarah Savage:
FreeBMD Marriage
Jun 1845 Bebbington John Runcorn 19 196a
Savage Sarah Runcorn 19 196a

Sarah is with John and child Thomas at the 1851 England Census:
HSN 58, Piece 2190, Folio 383, Page 13.

Then in 1861 John (36) is with Harriet (40) and three children: Thomas(13), John (10) and Mary (7):
HSN 18, Piece 2601, Folio 57, Page 4

Digging over the plot extensively, I haven't found a marriage for John and Harriet, whose MMN was apparently Battersby. Thomas and John have births registered with the GRO and MMN Savage, while Mary has Battersby:
GRO BEBBINGTON, MARY BATTERSBEY GRO Reference: 1855 D Quarter in NORTHWICH Volume 08A Page 208.

Perhaps Harriet was a widow and I cannot work out her married name before she met John? Anyway I think I need some help, please.

This doesn't explain who Harriet was but...

From CheshireBMD

BEBBINGTON Thomas - SAVAGE - 1848 - Runcorn, Halton

BEBBINGTON John - SAVAGE - 1851 - Runcorn, Halton

Would the following better match Mary's birth ?

BEBBINGTON Mary - SAVAGE - 1853 - Runcorn, Halton

For some reason this Mary doesn't come up on the GRO.

That Birth for Mary, MMN Savage seems plausible, but as you say- what about Harriet? The 1881 Census has these people
Nathaniel Bowden 28
Mary Bowden 26
Sarah Bowden 7
**Harriet Bebbington 58- listed as Mother in Law, Widow, Annuitant
Mary had married Nathan(iel) Boden/Bowden. Another MAYBE.

On the Cheshire Local BMD I found another Bowden-Bebbington couple:
BEBBINGTON Mary; BOWDEN Edward 1846 Great Budworth, St Mary Cheshire Cheshire West 126/2/46
Now I will have to check them out on the Census and see which children belong to them!
