Mary Peters from Gerrans,Cornnwall, Illegitimate children are they siblings?

Cornish to the Core
Mary had Eliza Veryan Baptised 13 July 1817.Base child reputed father John WHITMAN. Assistant Officer of the Customs a base child, She was not of Veryan
With that in mind I looked at Gerrans and there are two illegitimate births with Mary as a mother.
Mary born in the poorhouse in 1819 to mother Mary a pauper and Joseph born 1822 at Churchtown, Gerrans and mother is a single woman.
It is possobel that Joseph dies in 1823 at the same address.
Is it possible that the 3 are related?
Is there anyway of finding records of customs officers?
Added:
There is a James Peters baptised 1814 a base child -mother Mary , living at St Just Lane,St Just-in-Roseland,

Oh dear, you may be lucky to see any records on 'Custom's Men', seems they were not popular at all.
I keyed in to Google "Customs Officers in Cornwall 1800s" & learned a bit. Have a look. Not as it was in Liverpool happily.

If you have time watch Tony Robinson's video.

Don't know if this will help.

I think you will that your enquiry back in 2018 found that Eliza Peters father was transcribed as William Whitmar (FMP re Chimp) There is a marriage on Cornwall OPC for Eliza Peters, Veryan, 1838, to Peter Truen, widower, and her father is said to be William Hatchman, a tide waiter. Other research has him as William Watchman

I sent for the marriage certificate quite a while ago and it had William Watchman as her father and he was a tide writer.

I wonder if the children in post 1 are related because of Eliza baptised in Veryan and Mary was not of Veryan and the other children were baptised in Gerrans.
The family seem to be around Gerrans.
