Family Search has Morris/Moses Millard so I’m wondering if your Morris/Maurice was originally or came from a Jewish background. Lots of Morris’ in Jewish families.

I am a direct descendent of Rev William Miller of Grahamstown.
I am interested in his first marraige as I have no documentation of this. I understand that he had a son Thomas who did not accompany him to South Africa with his wife Elizabeth and 3 children Elizabeth, Mary Ann and John.
Was Thomas a child from his first wife?
