Missing Sibling

I have a family on the 1939 Register:
Frank Trower 1911-1988 & Isabella F Trower (Marsh) 1911-1987 Mar 1933
3 sons:
1 b. 1st quarter 1935 (possibly still alive)
2 Alan Trower 1936-2010
3 b. 4th quarter 1938 (possibly still alive, record open, but after finding my own Aunt revealed on one scan & blocked out on another I am being very cautious)
as stated No.3 is present on the record, one is blocked out, and one is missing, my question is, where is the missing son? an evacuee? if so where to look?

Does anyone have any ideas?

We cannot tell if the redacted entry with Frank and Isabella is Alan or the son b1935. I can see son b1935 married in 1957, so is probably the redacted entry, as I cannot find a death for him. As you know Alan died in 2010, so in theory his entry should be open, but I cannot find it, sorry.

I agree, my thoughts were going along the lines of evacuation as they started before the register was taken and perhaps the eldest was evacuated as Alan & the youngest would be staying with their mother, I maybe be barking up the wrong tree though (OH reckons I'm barking at the best of times :D )
One thought, on the No.3 child it states 'do' where occupation is recorded, as Alan was not school age that would have been recorded as such, also No.1 child was between 4y 7m & 4y 9m and could well have started school that Sept, as did I when I started school.
