Hello. I've dabbled in genealogy over the last several years, but ever since my granddaughter was born, I try to dedicate a bit more time to it. My gift to her. But I work full time, so I often can't spend as much time on it as I would like. It's one of those activities that I can get lost in and lose all track of time. I'm always glad to find new resources, as I often hit brick walls in my research.
 
Well! Woo hoo and welcome Lee. You are our second new member from the USA this week. Lovely stuff. The members here are amazing, they are very knowledgeable and also very gobby! They come at things from angles you wouldn't even think of and wish you had. Have a good old snoop around, get comfy and get posting. C|:-)

Post your queries on the appropriate board and I'm sure someone will jump in and help.

Yes, our hobby certainly seems to take over from us doing anything else. It's very addictive!
I'm sure your granddaughter will be very pleased with all your hard work and our members will do all they can to help with those pesky brick walls you've got.

Welcome from the Great White North. There are three of us from Canada and another charming genealogist from the US......ready and willing to help. So fire away. People here are really so nice you'll find yourself not believing it. They go out of their way to help and are certainly known for diving in to a pool of fun at the drop of a hat.

I went from wondering to dabbling to the obsessive, now I'm what I guess you could call an obsessive dabbler - but there's no getting away from it once you start!!
