Welcome to the forum!

Arundel is a name which was important down in my neck of the woods, so if you are connected with that Arundel(l) family, pop something into the Cornwall section of the forum and we can see if I can assist at all

Helllo Ted, welcome to TD.

I thought the name Arundel rang a bell. I do a lot of transcribing of the North Devon Journal and the name has cropped up in the births, marriages and deaths on occasion.

I've just had a look and, amongst other Arundel entries, found in the NDJ's

23rd May 1861 - 18th inst. at the Rectory, Lapford, Devon, the Rev. John Arundel Radford, aged 62

16th January 1873 - October 12th at the English Church, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, by the Rev. R. Creyke, F. M. Merriett, Dalby, Queensland, third son of G. Merriett, surgeon, London, to Thomasine, youngest daughter of the late John Arundel Badford (sic), formerly Rector of Lapford, Devonshire, England.

Do they have some connection to you?

Best wishes
Ann

Good to see you Ted, I've recently seen lots of Arundel records but they were the place name in Sussex. Is that where the Family name stems from?
