Welcome to TD Popsit.
Hi,
I am from new Zealand and have been doing genealogy since about 1995 and absolutely love it. I am retired and live on a kiwifruit orchard.
your not wrong lol especially as the grandkids live ten steps to the left. We have decided to give our children their inheritance early so now my son will run it till we are no more. There are two houses on the property and we have moved out of the big house into the little one.Welcome in Popsit. What better place to live than a kiwifruit orchard in kiwi land

Im hoping mine will at least keep al my records safe, you never know they may want to read them one day.Welcome, popsit. Glad you are here.
I too, have grandchildren for neighbors. Love it, love it! We missed out getting to know the first batch (they live out West). But we are blessed to be hands-on grandparents now. They haven't caught the genealogy bug yet, but I'm workin' on it.![]()
Ours get picked around May/june and taken to a cool store just down the road where they are graded and shipped off within hours to overseas countries. Ours are the basic plants that all others come from. At present there is a gold kiwifruit that is ready early and a little sweeter which I love better than our green variety. Although we don't work the orchard anymore we do give my son help re pruning and tying them down which we have just finished doing. We are now waiting for bud burst and flowers so we do not want hail lol. And so it goes on. Ours is just a small orchard which we are able to work without getting in workers. Our whole orchard is 5.5 hectares of which three is kiwifruit with more going to be planted before long.Welcome from Canada! Kiwi farm...neat! I am sure they are a lot tastier fresh than they are in our grocery stores. Yum!!
