Hi All,
Been doing my tree for over 2 years now and have got a bit exhausted with it - so many brick walls, puzzles and uncertainties, along with some skeletons in a few closets!
Sam

Hi Sam - welcome to Top Dog :)

Those brick walls can be a pain, can't they? Never fear, have a look round and post the details in the most appropriate forum and the super sleuths will do all that they can to reduce them to rubble.

Don't forget to enjoy yourself along the way!

Welcome SammiH, this is a great place to get some help and advice - skeletons and closets can be good fun.

The feeling of total euphoria when you batter down those walls, though. I finally cracked something yesterday that has been a major stumbling block for eighteen months; I kept putting it to one side and working on other parts of the jigsaw, but now that I've kicked the wall down I can't stop grinning at people in the street.

Don't lose heart - the answers are nearly always there, somewhere, and the good people on here are so helpful and knowledgeable.

Hi Sam,

Welcome. As others have said don't be afraid too post those queries. We have some very knowledgeable folks here.

Welcome C|:-),

just settle in and post away, something or rather someone will pop up and those brick walls will crumble away (nothing like grandiose promises first thing in the morning!).

As for skeletons in closets, they only seem to add to the fun for me (though I did upset my uncle when I told him something he didn't know about a family member --- note to self "must learn tact")

Welcome to Top Dog Sam, glad you have joined us.C|:-)

Have a good look around and if you need any help at all, I am sure the members will be pleased to assist, especially hunting for skeletons, it's our favourite occupation.
Have fun.

Hi Sam and welcome to Top Dog.
Notice how we all call it Top Dog and not Genealogy Specialists ;) so much easier isn't it?
We'll soon help with any queries you have, especially those brickwalls we all come across. I've been researching for many years and still have quite a few I haven't been able to knock down yet but that's the joy of genealogy - keeps us all on our toes!
