I have been researching my own family for over 50 years and then my son-in-law said he would like to know his family. Fine happy to help. Having a computer now is a help and has helped me get started on his family. The name is Titterington, I thought the search would be easier with a name like that - think again. He believed his family came from Lancashire, but some do, but others are in Westmoreland, so buying transcripts for parishes in this county. There is a Titterington GOON, but he has no link to Phil's family. He suggests DNA - is this the way to go these days - I would welcome some help.

Hello PottyPatricia and a warm welcome to the forum! :D

As this section is just for introductions, post all that you know about the Titteringtons in the General Family History Queries - that would be the best place - and I am sure that the good folk here will do their best to help. :)

Good luck with your research!

Hello and Welcome PottyPatricia C|:-)

I look forward to reading your post about the Titterington's (I bet there are some wonderful variations and mis-transcriptions of that name) and hope we can help you fathom them out.
