Place name help

Maybe this helps that it could be his death, I'm pretty sure I've found daughter Elizabeth with a brother and her married again mother Honora Murphy and family in the 1861 census RG09, Piece 533, Folio 96, Page 30.

A Honora Lynch married Dennis Murphy Dec 1/4 1858 Sheppey RD.

Maybe Thomas death certificate will throw more light on it.

LYNCH, THOMAS 38
GRO Reference: 1857 J Quarter in SHEPPEY Volume 02A Page 335

Thanks Sis, I do have that info - I have sent for Thomas's death certificate which should be ready to download on 7 Nov.

I wonder if this relates to Thomas and Honora? From British Royal Navy Allotment Declarations 1795 - 1852 on FMP.

FMP have the wife's name as Hannah, but I think it says Hanorah.

Can anyone read where the marriage took place?

I think the residence is Carrigalene, Cork. Honora is listed as being from Cork on the census.

Sorry, forgot the column headings aren't on this "snip". Marriage date and place is after Hannah/Hanorah name and residence is the column after that.

According to the Irish Genealogy Website, Thomas LYNCH and Hanora SULLIVAN wed on 1st November 1849 at Tracton Abbey, Kinalea.

Could it be Tracton in view of this?

Roman Catholic registers and the witnesses have been transcribed as:
Timothy SAGE and Hanrah LYNCH

Thanks Jan - I will have a look. Haven't done anything on Irish records for years, so am a bit out of practice.
