PDF, Customs Officers on Isle of Wight.Census state various birth places, London Middlesex, Eltham Kent. I've been trying to find info on his parents with no luck. Was hoping to find something through Customs records eg when he first joined. He appears in CUST 60 for Cowes 1857,his last appointment.

For those looking the 1851 census ref (Northwood IOW) HO107/1662/129/4
