Can anyone help with what the rank or profession for both fathers might be please.

Good ones Sis, so far I can't even find them for sure in other censuses.
closest I've come is

Not having FMP sub now cannot check Licenses & marriage bonds for Cheshire, which AI don't think would give Fathers info anyways. Not found marriage for Jeremiah & Eliza either. Sorry.

Thanks for your efforts Wendy. I took advantage of the 1 pound for a month on FMP and I have found them in the Cheshire Licenses and Marriage Bonds and you're right it doesn't give father's info. I too can't find marriage of Jeremiah & Eliza and the baptism is the one I have too. I'm still looking at censuses.

I think I may know what the answer is but wanted input from others just in case I was makin' it up

Oops, just had another look at copy of the baptism that I have for Eliza and guess what - father is a Doctor in Medicine So well done Mealymoo! Oh well it gave you all something to do.

On the 18th instant at Birkenhead Church by the Rev. A Knox, Edward Rowland esq. of Tranmere, to Miss Eliza Jessie Jenkins, youngest dau of the late J Jenkins esq. M.D. and granddaughter of the late William J Yonge, esq, of Caynton House Salop.

Thanks Lizzy, hadn't tried the newspapers yet. Also the granddaughter bit has helped, saw something earlier with regard to the names Jenkins and Yonge. If only I could remember where..........

Oh Moo you are a marvel. I have now found Eliza Jessie's parents marriage announcement. Found it earlier but couldn't be sure it was my Jeremiah but know I know it is woo hoo!! Sorry about the extreme excitement, but it's not very often I find something new.
