The Staffordshire Record Office have an entry in their catalogue
Grant of custody of the person and management of the estate of Jeremiah Jenkins of Stafford, a lunatic, to Mrs Elizabeth Jenkins 25 Jan 1827.

Might be worth contacting them for details?

At first I thought Journeyman but then it hit me that the word didn't follow a trade name of some sort. so that ruled out Journeyman.

Congrats to Mealymoo for getting Surgeon and Jane for Gentleman because I'm darned if I could make out either word, all I could do is rule one out, in my mind anyway.

My wife was good at reading lousy handwriting, if I was on the computer and called out "June can you come here for a minute", she pretty well knew what I wanted.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for the help that you have given me. I now have so much information on the Yonge's that I may never surface again:cool::D It turns out that William John Yonge was a doctor while in America, another ancestor was Surveyor-General in Georgia. Lots of familly memebrs names and dates. Oh so much information from you very special and generous people. Just off to finally read William John Yonge's 7 page will! Look out for a few posts asking "What does this or that say?":D

I also need to look in to Jeremiah Jenkins further too and thank you also for the help with him:D

Off I go wondering if I can have another 2 weeks holiday, sure they wont mind after all I have a very important task ahead of me. Yeh right!! Still only another 195 working day to go and I can spend all the time I like on this obsession:cool:
