Susannah Birch of Lee

Puts the Heart into Hertfordshire
I'm having a tricky time with this lady. I think she and a possible sister Mary Birch, who married Thomas Plested, and an Elizabeth Burch in Lee who married James Plested (although this may be a different Elizabeth) may be the sisters of my William Burch whose birth I'm trying to work out. He married Sarah Darvil in 1770 in Aston Clinton, and at his wedding the witnesses were Thomas and James Plested. He lived at St Leonards.

Susanna was married to Richard Plasted in 1762 in Aston Clinton. I have found baptisms of a Sarah, William, Elizabeth and Mary Birch/Burch, plus a Benjamin and Phoebe, to Benjamin and Mary in Lee and I'm trying to see if this could be the same people.

Question 1 - could Sarah and Susanna be different ways of saying the same name as I haven't found a Susanna in the area
Question 2 - FMP transcription says Sarah's baptism was 14 Jul 1734 which works. Bucks FHS transcription of parish records says 14 Jul 1724. Which should be the most accurate? (I have found a Benjamin Birch marrying a Mary in 1733 in Lee)

I thought the societies would have done it by hand and context would give greater accuracy. Not necessarily the case then
