Any guesses as to what it says in the right hand column of this will extract, made in 1775. If it helps it's page 2 of the will of Thomas Colegate of Wrotham, Kent and he died also in 1775. Thank you.

My sentiments exactly! I don't think it's a name as it's on page 2 of a 4 page will. At first I thought maybe the ink had came through from the other side of the page, but there's nothing written on the other side.

No there isn't Jan. Thomas Colegate's signature is at the end of the will, but it doesn't even slightly resemble the writing.

2 pages on from this, is the will of John Clarke.

The only things in the margins are the names of the will writer - so is this a clerical error and John Clarke was written on the wrong page and then tried to
be erased.
