Whilst searching for one of my wifes ancestors I have discovered that whilst all the Staff are included with there full names all the prisoners are only referred to by their initials! Luckily their ages and birthplaces, at least in one case. appear accurate and I have been able to match him by searching the Newspaper Archive and confirming his full name and sentence, after searching by age and birthplace. If you strike a dead end in Oxfordshire they may be amongst the men and women only identifed by initials.
