A Bonza Little Digger!
Can anyone please suggest how a young man of 21 may have travelled between 1939 [Register ] & 1945 marriage in the Netherlands? He appears on 1948 -1960 Electoral rolls with his family and new wife. I have checked FMP who had nothing, Ancestry who had not much more than Electoral lists & My Heritage who gave me his marriage and family info of his wife, at Tilburg, Nth. Brabant.

No one seems to suggest Military business which may have taken him o'seas nor passenger lists to suggest a holiday in Netherlands early downtown war years.
Any wisdom imparted here gratefully accepted.

At that age and in that time, I would have thought some sort of military service. Alternatively, could it have been his employment - other than in the military? What was he doing in the 1939 Register - and also on his marriage?

Thanks Jan, -in 1939 he was a fitter in Iron and Steel Tubes. His marriage doesn't state his occupation.
