The Fearless One. Rest in Peace.
In a transcript of Ware PRs, Herts Record Office reference # D/P 116 1/22, there are some notes,
"From March 28th 1558 to 20th February 1642 and from June 22nd 1645 to 1553.
"The missing parts mentioned above are undecipherable and not really plain enough to discern."
"5059 baptisms copied"
1553 should probably read 1653.
The entries in D/P 116 1/22 are easy to read, they are arranged firstly in order of the first letter of the surname, then in date order, e.g. all surnames beginning with A together and all those A surnames in date order.
I found these transcripts very useful for cross checking, especially where parts of a name or date are hard to decipher because I think the transcriber would have copied from the original parish registers which might be a little clearer than the digital images.
