Yes - whenever I meet anyone who thinks that it's an easy ride, I remind them that WDYTYA has a team of researchers working full time for at least 6 months just to find the small amount of clues presented on the television.

i'm not sure it is quite as organised as that. Some years ago I was contacted by a "researcher" because of my knowledge of an area. I provided them with all the information I could . It turned out they were on a short term contract. Later the more senior person who had employed them at the beeb contacted me and was surprised that apparently much of what I had provided had not been passed on to them.

This series seems to have been really strung out in the tv scheduling. I'd forgotten all about it.

Must admit i did not know who she was, but the whole process of working out her tree was really interesting
