Wondering if anyone can help , I’m pulling my hair out, I’ve spent all day trying to find out who Williams parents are.
I’ve tried free BMD and paid into Scottish people search .. I’m go king round in circles and made a right mess of my ancestry site

He was born 1874 died 1927 in a blaze , he married Jeanie Baird

Will attach images . Wondering if anyone can have better luck than me

I had a look on Family Search for a William White and Jeanie Baird. There a few children baptised Glasgow Green. One is Maggie Morrison White but another is Marion Houston White 7/5/1903 at Glasgow Green. Then I scrolled through and came across a baptism in Dundee for a William White on 21/5/1874. Parents are William White and Susan HOUSTIN. This may be him but it may not as well. With the Scottish tradition of keeping the spouse surname I thought it looked a possibility.
Jessie Baird White who is buried with him was also baptised at Glasgow Green in 1905.

The free index on Scotlands People shows that at death his mother's maiden name was recorded as HORSTON, but allowing for bad handwriting etc this may well be more correctly HOUSTON as suggested by Sue / Archie's Mum

Thank you @Andromeda. Interestingly there is a marriage for William WHYTE and Susan Houston 28/11/1871 Dundee.
William WHYTE’s parents are Colin Whyte and Mary Robertson Meikleon Whyte and Susan’s parents are William Houston and Elizabeth Nicoll Houston. Family Search

Surname could be Meiklem or Meikleon.
