I don't see the second letter of the surname being an 'a' in any way! To me it looks like an 'i', or even and 'e' but not an 'a'!!!

Looking at the image on FMP, I can't tell whether there is a definite but faint downstroke on the 'a' or whether it's my eyesight.

I have a feeling that the elusive Grace Jaquess/Jaques may be a cousin/cousin-in-law of some sort.

I have noticed that Stephen Metman has been transcribed or misspelt as Mittman/Mattman on FS.

It looks like Nicolaus Schutz, the witness, may have married Hannah Evans at St Clement, Danes in 1867

I've just looked at the image again, this time with my 'big' magnifying glass and I reckon the second letter of the surname is an a. If you look at the a in Grace it has the same curve and also she has written lightly in other parts of her signature so I reckon that's what she has done with the a in her surname.

Also with AM finding a marriage to a William Jaquess in the same area as Sarah's (Westminster) I am leaning very much so to it being Grace Jaquess. Still gotta find her though and still open to other suggestions as to what her surname might be.
