It's all Greek to me.

While we're still on this one, from the limited amount of Greek I know (or once knew), I think a double "AA" is unlikely in the surname, and I suspect one of these letters might be "Λ" (L), as in the forename. That would give "KALP..." or "KLAP..." - I think the former may be more likely, but I'm not 100% sure of this.
Yes, you're correct, the 3rd letter is a "Λ" .

Actually, looking at the grave, I'm not so convinced that it is a triple grave.

20160702_085521.jpg Can anyone make out what it says within the emblem 20160702_085528.jpg

I also saw first up "Aseda marta"as in the death of Marta.
Definitely need a nap. oh goodness it's nearly bedtime anyways.

 I didn't think I was that much of a petrolhead, but as soon as I saw the shape of the badge I thought Aston Martin, and then the wording confirmed it. But why?

You may be right about it not being a grave for three - though many graves are dug deep enough for two, so in theory there could be four in there, plus any number of cremated remains.

One (further) question I might ask is why would someone be buried with their mother-in-law? The obvious connection here would be Nina: was she buried there first (presumably unmarked?), then the stones and surround were put in place for her mother, then finally Robert was buried there?

Your best bet is probably burial registers, cemetery plans etc. Or... find out who is putting fresh flowers in the vase and ask them.

Arthur, you're a genius C|:-) I had totally overlooked the flowers. How did I miss them  I was concentrating so much on the names, I never gave the flowers a thought. I will ask on 'Knighton Memories'.

Posted on the site above, now to see if I get a reply.

I usually say that about myself, with a slight change......replacing 'just' with 'even' :D

Had a reply already. Apparently Robert was a dentist in our town (lived in a lovely big house) He ran the dentists I used to go to. Hope they now tell me why he is buried with Helene and not His wife.

His wife is still alive :). re. Robert and the Aston Martin emblem. Robert was into his sports cars and had a few.

Perhaps the reason why the plot is big, is for Nina to join her husband and mother eventually.

Well, apologies to Roberts wife for thinking she had died - I wonder now whether this thread needs to be edited and/or locked because of references to a living person.

Edited - Chimp

The thread has now been edited to remove the name of Roberts wife, with one exception, the marriage in post 24 by MollyMay. This marriage is in the public domain and can be found on Freebmd, FMP and other record sites.
