Mary GOLDSMITH death sought

Thanks, Wendy. I am not sure, but it certainly sounds like her! I will get myself to the library next week to check out the references as I do not have access to Ancestry or FMP at home.

Hold that thought! :D

Jan, Ancestry did once have a 'share' feature with which I could send you a copy. Just cannot see it now, but not to be deterred....

Deaths Jun 1913
Goldsmith Mary A. 72 Eastbourne 2b-101
Age varies a bit as in 1871.
I have finally got round to ordering this certificate and am now keeping everything crossed that it is the right one. o_O

Will report back when it is received.

Yay! (+)(^^)(+) It is the right one! Oh frabjous day, calloo, callay!

Thank you so much, Wendy! ():-)

Because I couldn't find Mary in the 1911 census, I did not know if she had died before it was taken and so it was only because Wendy found her in that census - plus the death registration - that I could take that chance.

I know that it is her for definite as the occupation column states, "Of no occupation of 18 East Street, Eastbourne (which is also where the family were in 1901), widow of Caleb Goldsmith (my great, great grandfather), Jobbing Gardener."

I am chuffed to little mintballs as I have been looking for this for years! :D

Thank you!

Top Dog triumphs again
Jan, I think you should go and lie down in a darkened room - the excitement is getting too much for you.....take a leaf out of Henry's book ;)

Just watched the video, catchy tune, reminded me of what was once all the rage, 1950s Skiffle music, Lonnie Donegan etc, all it needed was the Washboard in the background.
