I have been loaned several indentures from very early 1800's. I'm in the process of transcribing them.

The following is from 1810, can anyone tell me what the surname is of William.

Anyway, this indenture was for a lad named William Webb who was said to be 9 years old in 1810. Apparently he was in the workhouse and was found the apprenticeship by the Overseers. There is a baptism in Knighton, Radnorshire in 1801 for one said William Webb, but I don't have FMP at the moment so can't see the image.

I am going to get FMP again but they are only open between 8-5.30 Mon -Fri

I chatted with them on Fri afternoon about only being offered 10% discount. They offered me 25% taking the price from £155 to £116 for the world sub. I will chat with them again tomorrow and see if I can get the code for the discount. I could have done it Fri but I was hoping they would contact me with a better deal. It was not forthcoming

1841 or later census.

Can anyone find a John Harris of the Grove, Knighton, Radnorshire. He would be a Farmer. He was the one that William Webb was indented too. Not expecting to find William there as he would be 39/40 in 1841. He only needed to work for Mr Harris until he reached the age of 21, that would have been in 1822/23.
