Met the chap I was helping on the way into the supermarket last night. He said thank you very much for the information, he has now been able to go back a further 2 generations.That proves it Joseph Preston was married to the sister of Martha Owen. The person I was helping (although he didn't know it at the time) had a family tail that John Wilson married into the Owen family but had no proof. The marriage certificate and newspaper reports should be proof enough.
