THe 'In loving memory of' is mostly readable but too easy to 'input' other words which may be wrong.
Irfanview may be a help here

:) I found it on the internet (there were clues in the name of the file - Dunn grave mappleton ;)) and saved it to my computer, then played around with brightness, etc. then looked at the screen through one of those jewellers magnifier thingamibobs.

Just played around a bit more - should be

    ALSO JOHN NEEDHAM DUNN

To be honest, it was probably just luck. The one I found on the internet was quite good, but was sideways on. I have a programme on my computer called Microsoft Office Picture Manager which I love as you can do all sorts of things with it. First of all I rotated the photo, then clicked on the Autocorrect button, then I just played around with the contrast, brightness and midtone settings until it was more readable. I then cropped the photo and saved it.

I think enlarging it also helped.

You wonderful people, thank you for all your efforts, it is who I hoped it would be. :):)

I don't know if you all do as I do, if I haven't got a photo of a person, I try to find a picture of something else I can add to their details maybe the church they were married in etc, if nothing else I look for an MI.

Onwards & Upwards or maybe Downwards  :D

I take it Hannah Evelyn (sic) Goforth was Hannah Eviline Dunn, John and Sarah's daughter. She having married Ernest Goforth in 1931.

That's right Chimpy, John & Sarah had 4 daughters, Hannah Eveline being the youngest b.1900. I know John was a farmer but I didn't know there was a Will, so thank you for that. Hannah & Ernest had 2 children Maurice & Vera :):)
