The Fearless One. Rest in Peace.

Can anyone work out what the first two place in Suffolk are please, I've browsed a road atlas but no joy there. The places are from the 1861 Census for Little Leighs Essex and for Caroline Rodwell aged 3 born Little Leighs the daughter of George Rodwell age 32 (born in the first place) and Caroline age 41(born in the second place) the wife of George Rodwell.
Then I tried Googling various interpretions and got the following suggestions:-
For the first place Google suggested Tannington and Dennington.
For what looks like Arlsome (second place) Earl Soham was suggested, I can imagine that being so taking into account a Suffolk dialect.
So I would be very grateful for any thoughts/ideas.
Caroline Rodwell age 3 is I believe the Caroline Rodwell birth registered in the Chelmsford Reg Dist June quarter of 1858, Little Leighs was/is in the Chelmsford Registry district.
These do not belong to me they are the maternal ancestors of a distant Card cousin I'm helping or at least trying to, the idea being to give him a head start.
