From post #11, FreeBMD shows that Lily Parry's birth was registered in the Cannock district in the first quarter of 1903.
Unfortunately the General Register Office (GRO) birth indexes, which are the basis of the birth index on FreeBMD, do not show mother's maiden name until 1911. That makes it harder to pick out siblings or to track back to a likely parents' marriage without paying for certificates.
For some areas, though, indexes to
local registrars' records are online and some of these indexes do give mother's maiden name. One such local BMD website is Staffordshire BMD:
http://www.
staffordshirebmd.org.uk/
Many of the birth entries there don't give mother's maiden name, but luckily the one for Lily Parry does: her mother's maiden name was Boulter. That would fit nicely with the 1891 marriage found by Ma-dotcom (post #8). On the 1911 census William & Mary Parry say they've been married for 20 years so that would tie in very well with the 1891 marriage.
Note also that they say on the 1911 census that they've had 3 children and all are still alive. Only Mabel and Lily are with them, so the other must still be around somewhere.
NB that on the Staffordshire BMD site, Lily's birth is shown as being in 1902, whereas in the national index on FreeBMD her birth registration is shown as being in the first quarter of 1903. Presumably the Staffordshire BMD site is indexed according to the actual year of birth, whereas the GRO index is according to the quarter and year when the birth was
registered. Births didn't have to be registered immediately, so a birth at the end of 1902 might not be registered until early 1903.
