Archie's Mum

Always digging up clues
Hi All,
Been poking around behind the scenes reading your forum, so thought I would give it a go.
Seems nice and friendly.
Looking forward to reading all your queries, and asking a few of my own. Not much help with answers though but I'll have a stab anyway.

Well good on you! Lovely to have you. C|:-)

We could do with a few nice juicy queries to keep this lot occupied. Do shout if you need anything and please put your location in your profile if you haven't already done it. Saves us directing you to somewhere daft!

Go to your profile and there is a whole bunch of stuff you can do there. To get to your profile click on your name on the green banner at the top of the page. Not slow - you coped with the sneaky slider to register :)

ooops forgot to say that when you click on you - you then need to click on personal details to get to the relevant bit.

Hi Archies Mum, did you bring Archie's Mum's son with you? It's a great Family occupation this research. A learner & leveller too.
Enjoy.

Thanks Wendy for the welcome.
Unfortunately Archie wont be joining us on the forum. I afraid he "p"d on the tree in another genealogy site and is not welcome back, besides he is not sure of his parentage.
And a big thankyou to everyone else.

Your Archie sounds a little like our 'Bailey' whom I don't let near any of my stuff which can't be washed & disinfected.;) Not sure how the little guy at page top manages.
Oh well ofcourse,.. he comes with his own 'tree'

Hi Archie's Mum, how lovely to have you here. You sound like you will fit right in here and we look forward to helping you if we can.

Welcome to Top Dog - it won't take you long to find your way around, you've already settled in nicely :)

Unfortunately poor Archie has no idea whether he is Arthur or Martha today.(He's actually more Martha after the trip to the vet)
It has been a catastrophic day all around us today. Sydney and surrounds are surrounded by bush fires and some are saying around 100 homes have been lost. Some in the Blue Mountains west of us here, some further to the north and some south west. The sky has been a horrible bright yellow all day.
And my daughter is in amongst it in the Blue Mountains..she's OK.
But anyway, thanks again for all your welcomes. Hope I can be of help to someone, sometime.

Goodness how we feel for you Aussies when this happens. We have been following events on the news, it is terrible. Thank goodness your family are ok. Keep your chin up. I am sure you can be of help in here.

Thanks, we tend to cope and then get on with it. Rebuild and start again. So long as no-one looses a life.
And thank you to whoever fixed up post #15.

Harsh spot for fires in the Blue Mountains. We lived in Hobartville/Richmond for a few years- beautiful around the Colo River- & often went uphill for fruit & veg. We've been watching the fires for several days now, hoping for some rain.

Just a small query. Why is that "Search" thingy on the top right hand side, covering up my details on the green ribbon? I can't read what is under it and have to bring up my details, by squishing my mouse over an incy bit of my name to log off!
Not a winge but it took me forever to figure out how to log off.
