Another Aussie

Harsh spot for fires in the Blue Mountains. We lived in Hobartville/Richmond for a few years- beautiful around the Colo River- & often went uphill for fruit & veg. We've been watching the fires for several days now, hoping for some rain.
My goodness, how I love Richmond. In particular the other side of the river and around John of God and all the horse studs on Grose River Road.

Just a small query. Why is that "Search" thingy on the top right hand side, covering up my details on the green ribbon? I can't read what is under it and have to bring up my details, by squishing my mouse over an incy bit of my name to log off!
Not a winge but it took me forever to figure out how to log off.

One for the Techies : maybe updates going on or etherical interference?

oooerr no idea about the need for the squishing. But Doug might. He fixed your post by the way. When he drops in I am sure he will chip in.

Sounds like you are having the same problem I was...is your tree squished?

No Sue, my tree is intact. Peeping from behind the Search thingy is just the word "Archie' " everything else is obliterated by it. So I have no idea of what is under there other than that and the very top of the letters of Log Out

Mine's always been like that!
also under there are your Private Conversations and your Alerts, but since little red numbers pop up to tell you that you have content you always know without being able to see the words
I just never log out, after a while I get logged out automatically

Are you using a large font on your browser. It may cause that. Can you try viewing with a different browser to see if that helps.

Also, are you using a computer or a tablet? If the latter that may be the cause in some instances.

Changed font size, didn't know I was that blind, and using computer, no difference but not to worry, it's not that big a deal.
I've managed so far.
Thanks.

Drat.

Which browser are you using?

Another member had a similar issue and discovered she was infected with some Malware. You could try running a program called Malwarebytes.

Internet Explorer 10.
I don't have any other issues and we are fully covered with Trend titanium (I believe)
Thanks

I googled for IE10 display issues and one of the solutions was to look to the right of the address bar where there may be a grey 'broken page' symbol - looks like a little square in two pieces with little teeth on the break. The fix was to click on it so it turns blue.

Only problem is Top Dog and his special tree and bone have dropped down and Genealogy Specialists is doubled up over all my pretty green ribbons. So I have put him back again. And back to where I was.
Don't worry I'll get by.
Thanks it really isn't that much of a deal.
Maybe it's a software thing.

All out of ideas now I am afraid.

Hopefully it is not too painful for you.

Thanks Doug. Not too painful at all. Meant to get back earlier to thank you for your help but got waylaid.
Still smokey and horrid here, more homes gone and we are under the helicopter flight path. But they need to do what they have to do.
