I think that it is.

I wondered if it was Thomas but with a shaky 'h' before the clearer one, so actually Thhomas.

There's a marriage of a Thomas Trathen in Bere Ferrers in 1819, and apart from the extra 'h' (or whatever) and the 'e' rather than 'a', the signature is very similar. Both Thomas in 1819 and Patience Trathan in the 1822 marriage are described as sojurners.
