Locating Bert Lee

Thank you so much for the search.
Could she be Mrs. Nellie Johnson nee Loman? Some people write their first name, maiden name, married name. Hmm. I've got a lot of searching to do. Either way, the wedding was 79 years ago. Perhaps looking for witnesses is the wrong approach, as they may not remember or know anything.

That's more of an American thing, I think.

I think it likely that she is the Nellie Lomas Johnson (maiden name Peak(e)) mentioned above. From this online tree it appears that she did end up in Beeston, so that would fit:

As you'll see, Nellie died a long time ago so you won't be able to ask her. However, it may be worth looking at her family history in case you can find a connection with a Lee or with Violet's side of the family.

Sorry to be away for so long. As an update, the DNA came back, but it mostly just showed Americans I'm distantly related to. My brother will do the DNA test for me the middle of March when he visits, so perhaps that will help me with the paternal line for finding Bert Lee, my grandfather.
Also, as an update, my Mom steadily became worse. She passed away three months ago. I haven't done much family tree in the past six months with caring for my Mom at my home and grieving. But now I'm hoping to get back on track. :)

Condolences on your loss Glenda. It can take time to get back in to normality when these things happen.

():-)Dear Glenda, Sorry to hear of your loss. Family research can help the grieving process. Please let us know when you get the results from brother's DNA.
