Yes, I know I'm off track but sometimes getting off the track leads to another road going the right way!

Newspaper reports say this man was a general labourer and died after falling from a scaffold at 77 King William Street. An inquest was held at Guy's Hospital so the informant is likely to be the coroner/deputy coroner. There is also the death of a Matthew West in 1897 St Olave age 54, giving a birth year of 1843!
Sorry, that’s William Doridant going to NZ. Not West.Adeline and Charles also had a son Charles Adolphus and William Arthur who went to NZ had a son William Arthur Adopholus. I wouldn’t write that death off completely though. If William West went to France, as is possible he may have not been needed after Charles death. He was a servant, yes but maybe a labouring job was all he could get.
I am not going to, but if the coroner registered the death then there is little chance anything on it will confirm if it is my Matthew or notI wouldn’t write that death off completely though.
