Can anyone give me a clue as to which decade this picture was taken please.

I would suggest 1910s, but a second, third or fourth opinion would be welcome. :)

My first reaction was that it's Edwardian, from the costumes and the bicycles.

I see this photo is on the National Library of Wales' photostream on Flickr:

flickr.com/photos/llgc/3467407239/

Among the details given there are that it's by photographer P B Abery (1877?-1948), medium: glass negative; and date possibly 1910s.

Perhaps if we could make out what it says on those rooftops it might help?

I think the writing on the roofs may be Knighton Coal & Lime Co. Ltd. I know they had a place down there. Not 100% sure though.

No worries Mogsy. I think the general consensus is 1910's so I'll go with that.

Thank you all for your input.

I go with the general opinion of around 1910 as my very first thought was also Edwardian. It is such a beautiful photo! Makes me nostalgic for 'home'!

I must admit the station did look better in the old picture than it does in the new one. Currently it is a Vets Practise, but they are about to move (next door to me) Maybe the new owners will do something with the place.

By the way, if you have a lot of photographs that you are trying to date, the books Dating 19th (or 20th) Century Photographs are a great investment. :)
