Daft Bat Administrator. Chief cook & bottle washer! Staff member Aug 2, 2014 #4 I would suggest 1910s, but a second, third or fourth opinion would be welcome.
Huncamunca The Knowledgeable One Aug 2, 2014 #7 My first reaction was that it's Edwardian, from the costumes and the bicycles. I see this photo is on the National Library of Wales' photostream on Flickr: https://www. flickr.com/photos/llgc/3467407239/ Among the details given there are that it's by photographer P B Abery (1877?-1948), medium: glass negative; and date possibly 1910s. Perhaps if we could make out what it says on those rooftops it might help?

Chimp Moderator & Cheeky Human IMP Staff member Aug 2, 2014 #8 I think the writing on the roofs may be Knighton Coal & Lime Co. Ltd. I know they had a place down there. Not 100% sure though.

mugwortismy cat Tenacious to the End! Aug 2, 2014 #9 for what it's worth my impression was 1910s also, due to costumes

Chimp Moderator & Cheeky Human IMP Staff member Aug 2, 2014 #11 No worries Mogsy. I think the general consensus is 1910's so I'll go with that. Thank you all for your input.

Ma-dotcom A Bonza Little Digger! Aug 2, 2014 #12 It looks like it's part of a model railway set. Lovely.
thalauafu R.I.P. Aug 3, 2014 #13 I go with the general opinion of around 1910 as my very first thought was also Edwardian. It is such a beautiful photo! Makes me nostalgic for 'home'!

Chimp Moderator & Cheeky Human IMP Staff member Aug 3, 2014 #14 I must admit the station did look better in the old picture than it does in the new one. Currently it is a Vets Practise, but they are about to move (next door to me) Maybe the new owners will do something with the place.

Ma-dotcom A Bonza Little Digger! Aug 3, 2014 #15 Maybe you'll get to pet-sit or volunteer as a pets nurse?
Archie's Mum Always digging up clues Aug 3, 2014 #16 At least the vet surgery isn't situated right next door to the Chinese take-away, like ours.....
