M Catherine in ???
this is from a transportation image recording information I can guess M is for mother and H for Husband and B & S for siblings but where the mother is ?? Elizabeth herself is supposed to be from Ireland.

It looks to me like:

M Catherine in America
H William at Greenwich
B Cain S Ellen at N.P.

If it is America, the i is undotted - but the other places mentioned have "at" rather than "in" which makes me think this isn't a town.

That rather assumes that N.P. is a town, but I don't know what it would be.

N P is Natural Place. Place of birth. :)
B. Brother Cain. S. Sister Ellen at place of birth
M means mother. H could be husband.
Not sure where Mum is but a place in England or Ireland I think.

I'm inclined to go with this, too. Have blown the image right up and it still reads America to me.

IMHO I'm not sure that it's America, but for the life f me cant come up with anything else!o_O
Me either. Me too.
Could you tell us what year she was transported please . Could you share her name?
I was thinking Mum could also be in gaol leaving her children behind. What gaol starts with 'A'?
What is her native place on the convict record. It will be at the end of the section that has her details i.e hair colour, eyes, height etc.
Thank you.

Thanks Sis. It looks more like America now but I can't see how Mum would go there and leave the family behind. If she left because of the famine then I would hope everyone would go.
Yes AnnB you are right. Is it Au?
Finding the native place of the convict may give some idea.

Could this place begin with a 'C'?
check it against the 'G' in Greenwich, not that anything immediately comes to mind.
