William Riddell and Isabella Lawson

Happy to help. See post no 12 for Janet's death inthe SP index. I amfairly sure William died before 1841 so the 1886 death must be someone else.
 
I some how missed that post!!! thanks. William's last child David was born 1830 so he must have died between 1830 and 1841. David was living next door to his mother on the 1861 census.
 
I found what I think is her father James England 75 but the wife is listed as Jane 70 but I have Jean, the online source has James and Jean Rae which I take it came from Janet's death Cert,

I also have a Jean/Jane swap. Consider accents when names are given.
 
I now have the death cert of Janet and it states that she is the widow of William Riddel crofter so does this mean that he is still alive? her parents were James England crofter dec and Jean Rae dec informant was son David.

No. If she was a widow when she died, then William was already dead.
 
How silly of me to ask that question, I didn't think about it did I. I found on Family search the marriage of James Ingland note the spelling then eight children with mothers names as Jane Rae.
