I wonder - would it be possible to see the silhouettes? Just curious.
Here you are - just have 2 of them.
This is John who died in 1825
My friend is extremely chuffed with what you have all found out and passes on his heartfelt thanks.
Do you know, I didn't even notice I just saw a newspaper reference and off I went .....
I would kill for some of them. Not literally, of course.
Thank you! The silhouettes do bring Thomas and young John to life. Very interesting.
Well done everyone, especially Grizel. I'm glad you found the right Thomas. the search for Thomas Ogle Bache was fascinating even if it was a red herring. I was interested because this is how my grandfathers name was spelled in a couple of census transcriptions although it was BAEHR!
I found Thomas Ogle Bache really interesting too! I always love what this forum turns up - you never know where it is going to lead. We are all experts on so many strange things now!
What a team!
Didn't they do well!
They certainly did!
You are all amazing! Grandson sitting yesterday afternoon & today, as a childcare family bubble just so you know I have not been breaking regulations - vbg, so have only just come back onto the Forum & the BACHE enquiry has been solved by all of you. Congratulations to one and all
