Brick wall {do not read on if you don't want a headache}

Just to a little curry to the pie, my first cousin (thrice removed) Harriet Martha (Martha) COLLETT, married Thomas CHAPMAN, Station Master at Wadhurst, son of George CHAPMAN, in the December quarter of 1885, at Hastings, Sussex. According to the marriage of Constance Caroline CHAPMAN, to Alfred Octavius BASSETT, in 1901, Thomas Chapman, Station Master, was deceased. I'd suggest that Thomas died between 1885 and 1901, and as far as I can tell, he and Harriet (Martha), had no children. The following is an abbreviated entry in the BMD Index notations; Harriet Martha COLLETT,40, sptr, 7 Trinity St Hastings dau of Edwin COLLETT (Dec), Htl Kepr; Thomas CHAPMAN 46, Wdwr, Rlwy Stn Mstr, Wadhurst Rlwy Stn, son of George CHAPMAN (Dec), Bldr. 14 Oct 1885 Hastings by Lic. Wit: Mary (Ilgble), John Pearce.

Cheers, Don Cameron.
